Bluetooth Marketing Strategies Among Other Mobile Techniques

By: Kristi Ambrose

Mobile marketing is often classified into two different types based on the engineering involved. The conventional form requires marketing on the move like self-propelling billboards. The second type refers to marketing on a cell. Since the beginning of the millennium, mobile marketing through cell phones has been incredibly popular, if not the most popular of the two. Text messages also known as SMS has made marketing by this method a lot simpler.

In that respect there were some problems at the start because unwanted information was being sent to people, it was more or less like sending someone SPAM by email, except now it was by cell instead, which was one of the main reasons its received negative feedback from people around the world. After all, with email and junk e-mail its easier to get rid of it or "dodge" it. Later on, these types of marketing were ended due primarily to laws passed. However, the marketing industries, realized the incredible potential of something like this, if it was used correctly that is. Cell phone suppliers adopted the laws and it in turn became a legal way to advertise.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me personally, I receive junk texts all the time on my cell. I almost always read them because for me, my cell is all about work. So when I receive a text I ultimately answer it, curious if its work related. A lot of the times it's a sport's betting or gambling type of text. "How would you like to win hundreds of dollars tonight guessing who wins the Steelers Cowboys game" type texts. This just goes to show the real patiently there is for this! Especially considering there are always high conversions with these types of sites.

Service providers and cell phone providers have begun allowing the option of sending SMS to email addresses. This has led us to the conception of Multi-Media Message service or MMS for short, which videos can be sent. Bluetooth is another major player in this type of technology, it started in 2003 and all sorts of companies have found it to be incredibly useful. But how does this work? Well when a message is sent via Bluetooth, the receiver of the message should accept the request from the sender. So, sending messages BY this particular method is completely legit, the message transfer acceleration is high and best of all, it's free! Now if we absolutely had to pick the best out of all the different ways listed here, Bluetooth would definitely be the way to go.
